8,000 children in Georgia currently have mothers in prison. There are children left behind in every county in the state. With these children five times more likely to end up in prison themselves, their futures and our communities are at stake.

AIM is the only organization of its kind in Georgia. We help keep family bonds strong during separation by taking the children to visit their mothers. These visits help children adjust and help mothers look forward to a lawful life outside of prison. And they are often the only way mother and child would see each other.

We also provide education and enrichment programs to help the children achieve in school and in social situations. And we support the caregivers    often grandmothers    who raise the children in the mother's absence.

Your dollars count.

84 percent of your donation goes directly into programs that change the lives of these children and their families. The fiscal efficiency of AIM means that you can make a huge impact with a contribution of any size.

For instance:

• $30 funds one child to visit his or her mother in prison.
• $100 funds an upgrade of AIM's library of books and software.
• $250 funds one year of educational activities for one child.
